If you are an Amazon user you can help a charity of your choice by using their Smile URL:
instead of the regular amazon.co.uk, and it doesn’t cost you anything.
The first time you go there you will be asked for your charity – they suggest a few, but you can search for others. From that point on, 0.5% of your order value will go to that charity, so, if you are a regular user, it builds up.
Please let me know if you have any questions
Regards
Andy
PS – there is a local connection here; if you search for the Living Memory Historical Association, the donations go to Bill Irving’s air raid shelter charity, another worthy cause.
Good afternoon Gentlemen,
Many of you have helped Living Memory with fundraising for the shelter museum recently. The printer cartridges money raiser hase been very useful. We are always looking for fund raising possibilities. Our next money raiser is that we have been granted a place on the Tesco blue token scheme in the local Tesco stores for two months from September 1st to the end of October. Anyone making a purchase at any of the three Cirencester stores during that time will be given a blue token to deposit in one of three bins for charity. Might I ask members and their families and friends to remember us when shopping in Tescos during that time. We stand to receive from £1000 to £4000 depending on how many blue tokens we receive. Many thanks in anticipation…Bill Irving.
